Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO) and location and navigation solutions provider MapmyIndia publicly announced an initiative to ties up together to provide India’s best make in India fully indigenous, mapping portal and geospatial services.
It combines the strength of MapmyIndia’s digital maps and technologies with ISRO’s catalogue of satellite imagery and earth observation data as per Rohan Verma MapmyIndia’s CEO and Executive Director.
It is going to be a path-breaking milestone in India’s journey towards ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, wherein Indian users would not be dependent on foreign organizations for maps, navigation and geospatial services, and leverage Made in India solutions instead.
